How does MAPA give back?
MAPA plans and organizes various fundraiser events for the school. Fundraiser events are ways to raise money for the school to purchase schoo items that enhance the educational tools that teachers use to provide a high quality learning experience for their students. It also gives families the opportunity to come together as a community and to be involved in their child's education.
Since the opening of Monticello Academy, MAPA has raised over $75,000 through fundraiser events. Through these events, Monticello Academy was able to purchase the items below:
- Science kits for grades 1st through 5th
- 10 microscopes
- Canopies for the Preschool play structure
- picnic tables
- 20 Apple Mac computers for the computer lab
- 10 cafeteria tables
- 5 digital cameras for classrooms
- 4 projectors for classrooms
- Multi-media computer for school wide use
- Performing Arts Package: Stage, lights, curtains and sound system
- 100 white chairs for the auditorium
