Description

The objective of this Fine Arts class is to provide a safe environment for students to express themselves creatively through Fine Art projects. They will develop new artistic skills, by using a variety of art mediums. (Watercolor, clay, oil paints, charcoal, graphite, oil pastels, and other mediums.)  This class will focus on the creative process by developing their imaginations, their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. While it is an art class, our projects will often connect to their core subjects (History, Science, Math, English, Social and Cultural events).  Our Art class will encourage them to become more insightful and conscientious citizens. Art is often an individual art form where students will process life by expressing their point of view through their unique art style. Students will become more compassionate and see the connections they have with others in our class and our communities.  Each year there will be a new curriculum covering different artists and new techniques. Students will be able to build their skills while continuing to increase their artistic knowledge.
